The Z-0896 pneumatic weigh filling system from Flexicon Corp. conveys and weighs free-flowing bulk solids, and discharged the material into bags. The filter receiver of the Pneumati-Con vacuum, dilute-phase pneumatic conveying system is mounted on load cells, which the company says allows the system controller to weigh incoming material at high rates, then at steady dribble-feed rates, stopping flow once an accurate batch has been reached. While filled bags are being removed and empty bags attached, a subsequent batch is conveyed to the filter receiver and weighed, ready for another fill cycle.
