Merrick Pet Care Inc., makers of Castor & Pollux Organix brand petfood, have earned organic certification under the US Department of Agriculture's National Organic Program for all of its Texas,USA-based manufacturing facilities. The company is certified under the National Organic Program for both dry and wet petfoods.
The organic certification, awarded by organic certifying agency Oregon Tilth, was achieved after an examination of Merrick's supply chain, ingredient suppliers, manufacturing facilities and systems processes. To maintain the certification, Castor & Pollux Organix must adhere to criteria outlined in the National Organic Program, including future audits.
