The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) has launched a global fundraising drive to support animals impacted by the Southern California wildfires. Donations will benefit the Pasadena Humane Wildfire Relief Fund, which provides care and shelter for affected animals.
The campaign will take place during the Veterinary Meeting & Expo (VMX) from January 25-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, U.S. NAVC, which hosts VMX, has pledged to match donations up to $25,000, with all funds going directly to Pasadena Humane.
“So many animals in Southern California have been impacted by the catastrophic fires and are in immediate need of homes and medical care,” said NAVC CEO Gene O’Neill. "The veterinary community understands how urgent these needs are and is looking for ways to contribute and help now."
With nearly 30,000 veterinary professionals from over 82 countries attending VMX, NAVC aims to provide accessible opportunities for donations. “Together, we can multiply our impact on the lives of these animals, their families, and the tireless veterinary staff working to save them,” O’Neill added.
Supporters can contribute through SHOP NAVC to boost matching funds and assist animals in need.
