The 20th annual Global Pet Expo, hosted by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) from March 20-22, 2024, in Orlando, Fla., surpassed all expectations. With over 1,100 exhibiting companies occupying 343,500 net square feet of exhibit space, the event marked a sold-out show floor.
Attendance soared to nearly 20,000 attendees from over 85 countries, solidifying Global Pet Expo's reputation as the foremost platform for pet industry networking, product showcasing and education. The event, held at the Orange County Convention Center, injected over $45 million into the local economy, underscoring its significance to the Orlando Metropolitan area.
Moreover, Global Pet Expo 2024 continued its tradition of giving back to the community through a partnership with the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando, donating over 70 booths to support the organization's mission.
APPA President and CEO Peter Scott expressed his excitement about the event's success, emphasizing the vibrant energy on the show floor and the remarkable sense of community among attendees. He underscored the event's role in highlighting the latest innovations driving the pet industry forward.
