Petfood Forum has largest attendance in show’s history

Petfood Forum 2024 achieved a milestone by attracting a record-breaking number of attendees, with more than 3,900 pet food professionals from 48 countries gathering at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, from April 29 to May 1.

Representatives from hundreds of pet food companies, including industry leaders such as Annamaet Petfoods, Arm & Hammer, Blue Buffalo, Mars Petcare, Royal Canin and Wellness Pet Company, were among the participants.

Steve Akins, executive vice president of Global Petfood and Events at WATT Global Media, expressed his excitement about the event's success. “Petfood Forum established new records in 2024," he said. "Not only did we welcome the largest number of global pet food professionals and host the largest tradeshow floor in Petfood Forum’s history, but we also once again provided a meeting place to share strategies and knowledge to advance our industry.”

Keynote speakers Daniel Levine, director of the Avant-Guide Institute, and Tamara Ghandour, founder of LaunchStreet, set the stage for insightful discussions on approaching mindset trends and unlocking innovative potential in the pet food business.

The conference featured over 30 internationally renowned presenters who shared valuable research and insights on various topics, including strategic market insights, emerging concerns in pet food, insect protein, pet treat development and automating quality control. The event concluded with a panel discussion on sustainable pet food.

With an expanded exhibit hall floor, attendees had the opportunity to engage with over 390 supplier companies, including longtime exhibitors and over 60 first-time exhibitors. The interactive show floor also featured the Pet Food Tech Talk stage and the Future of Pet Food Pavilion, showcasing the latest research and innovations in companion animal nutrition.
