Humane World for Animals announced a donation of 100,000 pet meals from Nulo Pet Food, which were distributed to families during its More Than a Pet campaign event in Los Angeles. Pet food and supplies were provided to community members through Humane World's Pets for Life program, which works to expand access to resources for pets and pet owners.

According to Nulo, the More Than a Pet campaign focuses on the bond between people and their pets while advancing equitable access to care, pet food and other resources. The Los Angeles event highlighted how Humane World for Animals, together with its corporate and community partners, work to expand access to care and support pets and pet owners.

"At Humane World for Animals, we believe that no pet should go hungry simply because their family is facing hard times," said Amanda Arrington, the organization's vice president of Access to Care. "Thanks to this generous donation from Nulo, we were able to directly support families through our event in Los Angeles ensuring pets stay healthy, happy and right where they belong: at home with the people who love them."

The campaign was supported by several of Nulo's athlete ambassadors: Caeleb Dressel, 10-time Olympic medalist swimmer; Ryan Crouser, three-time Olympic gold medalist in shot put; Gabby Thomas, five-time Olympic medalist sprinter; and Regan Smith, eight-time Olympic medalist in swimming.

"At Nulo, we believe that every pet deserves access to nutritious food and loving care, regardless of circumstance," said Nulo founder and CEO Michael Landa. "Our partnership with Humane World for Animals allows us to extend that belief beyond the store shelf and into communities that need it most. Knowing these meals are helping pets stay healthy and at home with the families who love them is what truly fulfills our mission."

Thomas, Nulo athlete ambassador, said her dog Rico is her best buddy and she only wants the best for him. "That's why I was so proud to be a part of Nulo's Paws for a Cause campaign to support Humane World for Animals, an organization dedicated to pet wellness and helping pet parents ensure their pets have the best lives and nutrition possible," Thomas explained.

"I'm a strong advocate for equitable access to care, nutritious food and other critical resources for people – and for their pets," she added. "It's an honor to be aligned with an amazing brand like Nulo that shares my values and with an incredible organization that acts on them every day."
