Adimax Indústria e Comércio de Alimentos inaugurated its fifth manufacturing unit in Feira de Santana, Bahia, in April 2024. This new facility is strategically located to enhance logistics and optimize supply chains to meet the growing demand for pet food in the region.

Adimax, founded in 2000 in Salto de Pirapora, São Paulo, has grown to become a significant player in the Brazilian pet food market. Over the years, the company has expanded its reach and product offerings. It began exporting in 2007, and today, Adimax operates multiple facilities across Brazil, including plants in Uberlândia (MG), Abreu e Lima (PE), and Goianápolis (GO).

Adimax plays in the market with only four umbrella brands: Fórmula Natural, Origens, Magnus and Qualidy. These brands cover all quality tiers, offering premium, standard and economy pet food options. Fórmula Natural is known for its higher-quality ingredients, catering to pet owners seeking premium nutrition. Origens and Magnus serve the standard market segment, providing balanced while nutritious options. Qualidy focuses on the economy segment, ensuring affordability without compromising on essential nutritional needs.

The new plant in Feira de Santana is expected to boost Adimax's production capacity. With this expansion, Adimax is set to consolidate as one of the largest pet food manufacturers in Brazil by production volume. The combined capacity of Adimax’s five plants represents one of the highest local production capacities by a single company, according to a report by Triplethree International.

Moreover, Brazil’s pet food production is projected to reach 4 million tons in 2024, driven by the increasing pet population in the country. As a result, major companies like Adimax are expanding their capacities to meet the rising demand. This growth reflects the industry's overall expansion and the importance of maintaining robust supply chains to ensure product availability across the nation.

By increasing its production capacity with this new facility, Adimax is poised to solidify its position as a leading pet food company in Brazil.
