Darling Ingredients, a global leader in transforming food waste into sustainable products and renewable energy, has successfully concluded the acquisition of Polish rendering company Miropasz Group.
The €110 million transaction, announced in November 2022, strengthens Darling's presence in Poland, complementing its existing facilities. Miropasz processes 250,000 metric tons of poultry by-products annually across three plants in southeast Poland. Randall C. Stuewe, CEO of Darling Ingredients, emphasized the acquisition's alignment with Poland's growing poultry production.
