Bioriginal Food & Science has successfully acquired POS Biosciences Corp. (POS), formerly known as KeyLeaf Life Sciences, from Canopy Growth Corp. POS, specializing in proteins, oils, and starches, will operate independently under the guidance of the new managing director, Jim Shields. Bioriginal, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cooke Inc., will become POS’s primary vendor and customer, gaining access to advanced processing facilities for oils and proteins.
Shannon Sears, president and CEO of Bioriginal, expresses gratitude for the acquisition, emphasizing POS's world-leading processing technology and its role in fostering innovation in human and pet nutrition. This marks Bioriginal's fifth acquisition in the past twelve months, solidifying its global presence with eight manufacturing facilities on two continents and regional offices in California, the Netherlands and Japan.
The terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed as Bioriginal is a private company.
