Leap Venture Studio announces eighth program

Demo Day is on June 13th in New York City.

Leap Venture Studio & Academy, the world's largest pet care startup accelerator, announces its eighth program. The hybrid initiative provides tailored support, $200,000 in funding and features six innovative startups in the upcoming London-based cohort. The program culminates in a Demo Day on June 13th in New York City.

Startups in the cohort include:

  1. GekkoVet--Online diagnostic and treatment tool for veterinary professionals
  2. Innovative Pet Lab--Science-driven pet wellness with at-home tests and personalized solutions
  3. Omni--Sustainable pet food company founded by veterinarians
  4. Scooch--AI-powered holistic pet health subscription
  5. VetVerifi--Platform connecting the pet economy with verified vaccination records
  6. WIMBA--Transforming pet orthopedics through AI & 4D printing technology

The accelerator offers resources, mentors, networking and brand services, connecting founders with industry experts and investors from Mars Petcare, Michelson Found Animals and R/GA Ventures.

Excitingly, a social impact company, BestyBnB, joins the program to provide crisis care and safety net pet programs for various social service agencies.

Rachel Sheppard, director of Ventures at Mars Petcare, expressed excitement for the innovative technologies improving pet life, while Brett Yates, CEO of Michelson Found Animals, looks forward to the four-month journey for each startup.

Since 2018, Leap Venture Studio has invested in 45 companies across 15 countries, raising over $200M in follow-on funding. The Demo Day on June 13th, 2024, offers a glimpse into the latest startups' offerings.
