Biomega proudly announces the appointment of Harald Voltersvik Hernæs as the Global Sourcing Director, a pivotal role in the international biorefining company's strategic initiatives.
Formerly with Lerøy Seafood Group ASA for 16 years, Hernæs brings extensive aquaculture industry expertise, transitioning from roles such as logistics and purchasing co-ordinator to value chain manager at Lerøy Seafood.
Stig Petersen, CEO of biomega, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "Harald's knowledge will play a crucial role in overseeing our entire supply chain, supporting our commitment to a transparent and sustainable value chain. We look forward to his contributions."
Joining biomega during a significant growth phase, Hernæs steps into his role amidst the company's involvement in the EU Commission and LIFE program-backed LIFE CONQUER project. This initiative focuses on sustainable utilization of the salmon processing industry's side stream to reduce biowaste and greenhouse gas emissions.
