Mars Petcare’s SHEBA brand showing commitment to coral reef restoration

The company is releasing a new online video series featuring Auliʻi Cravalho.

In honor of Coral Reef Awareness Week, Mars Petcare’s SHEBA brand is amplifying its commitment to coral reef restoration with a new online video series titled "Growing Hope in Hawaiʻi.” The series features Hawaiian-born actress, cat mom and ocean advocate Auliʻi Cravalho and aims to educate and inspire viewers about the importance of coral reef restoration.

Key Highlights:

  • Series Launch: The three-part series follows Auliʻi Cravalho as she partners with Kuleana Coral Reefs, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring and protecting Hawaiʻi's coral reefs. The series will be available on Auliʻi's Instagram, the SHEBA brand’s social channels, and SHEBA.com/Sustainability. 
  • Special Edition Variety Pack: SHEBA is releasing a limited-edition 24-count variety pack featuring artwork of a healthy coral reef. Each pack includes a QR code that directs cat parents to more information about the brand’s coral restoration efforts in Hawaiʻi and around the world.
  • Global Sheba Hope Grows Program: This initiative has expanded to 63 restoration sites in 11 countries, covering five continents, including notable locations such as the Great Barrier Reef, Mexico and Kenya. Over the past year, the program has significantly grown from 30 sites in 10 countries
  • Impact: Mars and its partners have restored 112,000 square meters (1.2 million square feet) of reefs globally. Over the past two years, the SHEBA brand has donated $1 million to Kuleana Coral Reefs to support restoration efforts, training, and safety equipment purchases.
