The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) reveals the publication of a first-of-its-kind safety study of cannabidiol (CBD) products in healthy dogs by Frontiers in Veterinary Science. The study demonstrates that various cannabinoids, including CBD, are well-tolerated in healthy dogs over 90 days, with no significant risks at a daily dose of 5mg/kg body weight. NASC President Bill Bookout emphasizes the study's comprehensive nature, combining a well-designed protocol with a decade of post-market surveillance data from the NASC Adverse Event Reporting Database (NAERS).
