Symrise reports sales growth in 2023

The company is planning its 14th consecutive dividend increase.

Symrise AG, a global leader in fragrances, flavorings, cosmetic active ingredients and raw materials, achieved a 2.4% increase in group sales, reaching €4,730 million (2022: €4,618 million). The organic growth was an impressive 7.9%.

Despite facing economic challenges, the company recorded adjusted EBITDA of €903 million, slightly below the previous year's figure (2022: €922 million). The adjusted EBITDA margin stood at 19.1%.

Symrise plans its 14th consecutive dividend increase, with a proposal to raise the dividend to €1.10 per share at the annual general meeting on May 15, 2024 (2022: €1.05).

Heinz-Jürgen Bertram, CEO of Symrise AG, highlighted the successful year, acknowledging challenges and emphasizing proactive measures taken to address them. Strategic acquisitions and partnerships contributed positively to the company's portfolio, fostering an optimistic outlook for 2024.

Looking ahead, Jean-Yves Parisot, the incoming CEO, expressed confidence in building on Symrise's potential, prioritizing customer needs to drive future success. The planned leadership transition is progressing smoothly and is set to take place at the end of March.
